Canada is a great place if you are planning your vacations over there, letโ€™s look at the largest cities of Canada you must visit to experience the real essence of Canada. I have compiled them based on the population that our team researched from authorized sources.

Canada is a North American country, and its capital is Ottawa. Do you know itโ€™s the second largest in the world by area? Its current population is around 40,769,890. The fastest-growing Canadian municipality was East Gwillimbury, situated on Toronto CMA, an urban area spread in the Toronto area.

1. Toronto

Toronto, the capital province of Ontario, is the largest city in Canada and also the commercial capital of Canada, itโ€™s one of the significant large cities in the world for business. Some of my favourite tourist attractions in Toronto include theย Royal Ontario Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Casa Loma,ย and one of the biggest attractions,ย the CN Tower. I am sure you must have also visited these. But, if not yet, add it to your bucket list for sure.

Toronto is situated in Canadaโ€™s industrial heartland. The urban area population of Toronto at present isย 6,431,000ย and covers a land area ofย 5,903 sq. kmย under the Greater Toronto area limits.

2. Montrealโ€“ City of Mary

Montreal is the capital of Quebec, the largest city in this province, and the second most populous city in Canada, itโ€™s a French-speaking city. It is the number one host city for international events in North America and has a population ofย 4,342,000 at present in 2024.

Some of my favourite places in Montreal areย The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, East Biodome, and La Ronde.

3. Vancouver โ€“ British Columbia Canada

Vancouver Cityย is located in the region of British Columbia on Canadaโ€™s west coast, and the population density of Vancouver is the highest in Canada. My favourite thing about Vancouver is that it has so many lakes to visit, like Rice Lake, Cabin Lake, Burnaby Lake, and more.

To your surprise, let me tell you that it was ranked fifth as the livable place in the world for the high standard of quality of life and living.
