As usual, we are back with another wonderful destination for you to have a great time. Here, I will talk about Windsor. Do you know it is popularly known as the ‘City of Roses.’ I will tell you the reason behind it. To your surprise, there are around 205 parks in Windsor. Yes, the city is well-known for its beautiful parks and is sought out to be a great spot to have fun and recreation amidst our busy lives.

If you have some plans to travel to this city, I must tell you about some of the parks where you can relax and enjoy your holidays. Most parks there offer recreational activities, magnificent attractions and themed playgrounds specifically designed for kids. So, let’s begin-

1. Windsor Sculpture Park

Location- Windsor, ON N9B 1E8, Canada

The most famous park there is the Windsor Sculpture Park. It is designed to display the magnificent sculptures. Once you enter the park, you will be astonished by around 31 unique sculptures in an outdoor public gallery for display. These sculptures are designed by world-recognized artists. It is sort of an open museum and you get free admission, Moreover, you can explore this park anytime as it is open all year round. The park has a convenient parking space with lots of benches and the facility to fish. So visitors can fish, take pictures, go for a run, or simply watch the amazing display of sculptures made by talented artists.

2. Assumption Park

Location- 2730 University Ave, W, Windsor ON N9B 1B1, Canada

Next on my list comes Assumption Park. It has an interesting and creative space to relax and have a good time. I highly recommend you visit there and witness the wonderful artworks and sculptures that attract everyone. Even for the locals it is the perfect weekend destination to come and enjoy quality time with family. The park provides various amenities, including convenient parking, spacious walking trails, open spaces, and lots of benches. The waterfront view from the park is a cherry on the cake.

3. Jackson Park

Location- 125 Tecumseh Rd E, Windsor, ON N8X 2P7, Canada

You love plants, Right? I would suggest you to visit the Jackson Park. It’s not just I am telling you, but there are more than 10,000 plants in this park. Imagine how beautiful would it be, when their branches get loaded with lovely seasonal flowers!

It is one of the most beautiful parks with many other attractions. You can see spectacular fountains, world war victim monuments and conventional gardens of Windsor like Queen Elizabeth II’s sunken garden.

Not only this I highly recommend you explore its other amenities to satisfy the sports lover inside you, Any guesses? There are soccer fields, tennis courts, baseball, rugby, cricket pitches, basketball courts, and other play units. So play around with your friends and kids and enjoy your holidays. And yes, if you want to have photographs with a beautiful background, Jackson Park is the place for you!

4. Mic Mac Park

Location- 1125 Prince Rd, Windsor, ON N9C 1Z2, Canada

I am sure you must be getting excited to know about more parks now. So, continuing the list, the next one is the beautiful Mic Mac Park. This park is also equipped with several amenities to delight you in your free time. If you are around Downtown Windsor, you mustn’t skip this one.

There are swimming pools, a soccer field, a Mic Mac pool, a basketball court and various other sports facilities along with picnic tables and a great parking lot in every area of the park. It’s a great park for families and couples to stroll around through the walking trails, take beautiful pictures and go for a beautiful picnic.

5. Mitchell Park

Location- 399 Giles Blvd W, Windsor, ON N9A, Canada, Canada

Looking for a peaceful location to spend a relaxing evening? I would suggest you visit the Mitchell Park. It is kid-friendly and designed with paved trails and open spaces that allow visitors to walk and jog comfortably. But, this doesn’t mean that there is nothing to enjoy. It has great Tennis and Basketball courts making it a great place to host a sporting event.

This is one of the cleanest Windsor parks with well-maintained grass and a small play area for kids to have some fun and recreation. You can also bring your pets along for a walk as the park is dog-friendly.

Completing my recommendations of the most beautiful parks in Windsor is Malden Park. The park has various trails suitable for cycling, biking, and hiking. You can see different reptiles and amphibians around its pond complex. It is also a good spot to watch the migrating birds. This park also offers several amenities, including an enclosed patio, naturalized concert centres, picnic areas, free parking, a gas fireplace, a kitchen, and good sound systems along with chairs and tables at the banquet hall.
