Explore the Best Thrift Stores in Montreal on Your Travel Excursions

Thrifting is the best and most sustainable way today to get cheaper yet amazing clothes. I always look for different discount options or thrift stores wherever I go. Saving money while shopping for valuable items is very satisfying for me.

Due to the emergence of fast fashion, you can access new clothing at a reasonable price, and if I can get a Zara Jacket worth $249 for just $50, why would I not buy it? If you are in Montreal spending the holidays, I suggest you try a hand at shopping there. Why I am saying this is because there are many thrift stores.

So, letโ€™s take a step and make your journey in Montreal even better with some amazing must-visit thrift stores!

1. Eva B

A post shared by Eva B (@evabvintage)

Eva B is among the best thrift stores in Montreal. It is a charming vintage shop attracting people with graffiti on the entrance. It actually a mix of a vintage store and a cafe. When you enter, the staff offers you a little bit of free lemonade and some popcorn to gear up for a shopping spree. Itโ€™s always nice to feel special, isnโ€™t it?

They have a massive collection of antique books and cassettes; they even have an aesthetic theatre room to enhance the vibes of the shoppers. They also categorize their items intoย outstanding, great, decent, andย vintageย for the benefit of their customers. So, you know, is the product fresh with minor flaws or used with damaged or loosened threads? You can search forย designer stylesย that start atย only $1ย for their distinctive annexed vintage and lightly used clothes, which range from band t-shirts to ball gown outfits. It is not simply a streetwear store but also for special events.

Stop by the Locationย โ€“ 2015 St Laurent Blvd, Montreal, Quebec H2X 2T3, Canada.

2. Empire Exchange

Empire Exchange is a Buy-Sell-Trade little thrift store. The store is nicely furnished and flawlessly structured, and in addition to being an ethical and sustainable solution, each item is unique and has its narrative to tell. They intend to provide gently wornย vintage clothes, jaw-dropping dresses, vintage accessories, and antique footwear in a warm, contemporary setting at an affordable price. If you have a designer eye for intricately precise vintage clothing, just hop in the Empire exchange!

Stop by the Locationย โ€“ 5225 Boulevard Saint Laurent Montreal, QC H2T 1S4, Canada.

3. Kitsch โ€˜nโ€™ Swell

The Kitschโ€™n Swell boutique is a must-stop if you are interested in and in search of vintage garments and stuff. This shop emphasizes a beautiful collection inspired by the Vintage era from 1920 to the 1950s.

Luckily, you can even find outfits that match the vintage wear of international artists of the era. Each piece appears to have been obtained directly from the 20โ€™s era and is a timeless gem. You may find the perfect vintage clothes of your dreams to add to your wardrobe happily or simply bring some sunshine into your day.

Stop by the Locationย โ€“ 4065 Boulevard Saint Laurent, Montreal, QC, Canada, H2W 1Y7.

4. Renaissance

Renaissance is a shopping stop if you are in search of a thrift clothing store for reasonable prices and a high-end fashion shopping experience, it is a thrift store cum bookshop. This store provides a diverse selection of clothing, shoes, home dรฉcor, books, and other items.

5. Village Des Valeurs

Next on my list is the Village Des Valeurs. It is an inexpensive, sustainable, and fashionable thrift store appropriate for young people. Here, clothes are viewed as vintage pieces of art that deserve to be styled iconicallyโ€”something that you can help with! This shopping corner is ideal for locating hats, shirts, tees, tops, oversized statement tees, tie-dyeย clothing, and pants in Montreal. You will also find vintage comic books and cassette tapes, along with some really funky and quirky products, leaving you wondering what they are.

Thrifted Shopping Sorted

Everyone has clothes in their closet that they donโ€™t wear for various reasons. Often, it is just because the colour doesnโ€™t suit you or the fit is not quite right. Or perhaps it was an impulsive purchase on the street, and you could never see yourself in it. Well, someone else might adore them. As the saying goes, one manโ€™s trash is another manโ€™s treasure. So donโ€™t miss your opportunity to add some unique collection to your wardrobe.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can You Find Decent Deals in Montreal?

Great vintage and used stores are a staple of Montrealโ€™s greatest shopping and one of theย cityโ€™s most affordableย things to do for a good time.

2. Why is it so Popular to Thrift?

Many people now find refuge in thrift stores when they desire to live frugally and responsibly. The detrimental effects of fast fashion on the environment are becoming more widely recognized. As a result, many consumers understand the value of purchasing secondhand goods.

3. Is it Hygienic to Buy Clothes on Sale?

The clothing is typically not washed before being sold at secondhand stores. Although donations are typically washed before they are given away, we still advise giving them a thorough cleaning when you get home.
