I am definitely a coffee person. Are you too? I mean, who doesn’t like a warm, cozy place to chill with their friends or partners sipping on a delicious cup of coffee? And what better place than hanging out at a cute cafe? Lucky for you, Toronto is filled with cute cafes all around the corner. I must tell you some of the best cafes there. Have a look:

1. Rooster Coffee House

I am so excited to tell you about this. The reason is it’s not just the wide range of delicious, freshly brewed coffees it offers. But, you will fall in love with the place itself. It is equipped with a huge patio out front overlooking the beautiful scenic views of Riverdale Park. I can’t ask for more.

Having my favourite cup of coffee in open seating witnessing the scenic beauty of this lovely city is the most relaxing experience I can imagine.

Pragya, Canada Hustle

With its unique setting and amazing atmosphere, Rooster Coffee House offers a very homely experience. It is also one of the very few coffee shops where you can find a great deal of soy-free, gluten-free and vegan options, which are locally sourced goods. And the best part, it is dog friendly! So bring your fur babies with you and treat them to the free dog biscuits offered by the cafe!

Locations:

  1. 479 Broadview Avenue
  2. 343 King Street East
  3. 568 Jarvis Street

2. Jimmy’s Coffee

Are you ready to taste the high-quality coffee made in a traditional Italian style? Yeah! then visit Jimmy’s Coffee. You will love the they serve coffee in their signature yellow lid.

Let me tell you this coffee shop has 8 locations and each has its unique interiors and ambience. So, you can easily grab the one nearer to you. The cafe is decorated beautifully with bookshelves, magnificent antiques and pictures of all the well-known Jimmy’s; they also have a lovely patio. Plus, free Wi-Fi is also available, making it a perfect spot to sip your coffee and read your emails!

You can also try some dishes, including lemon poppy seed loaf, choco chip cookies, butter tarts, or Matcha chia pudding.

3. Versus Coffee

Next on my list is the Versus Coffee. The best part is that you can choose your seating depending on your mood. They provide both outdoor and indoor seating for you to relax while sipping on a great coffee. The interior is unique and beautiful and the patio is also nice. They also offer several food items along with coffee. You can try avocado toast breakfast sandwiches, bagels and nutritious smoothies.

Location: 70 Adelaide St East

4. Library Specialty Coffee

I will tell you about a themed coffee shop there. I highly recommend you visit this one as it would be a unique experience for you. Library Specialty Coffee is a cozy library-themed cafe named after the Toronto Public Library. Here, you will get a delicious cup of coffee with a perfect balance of bitterness and acidity, as all coffees should be!

This cute cafe is not just great at its coffee game. They also sell amazing baked goods that will surely steal your heart. Plus, the coffee shop is known for its coffee beans and you can even buy them and enjoy their deliciousness at home. Though the cafe is very well known for its quality baked goods and great coffee, the seating is very limited. It is best as a grab-and-go cafe.

Locations:

  1. 281 Dundas St West
  2. 917 Queen St West

5. Fika Cafe

Are you a book lover? Then Fika Cafe is the perfect spot for you, with minimalist interiors and a whole wall fully dedicated to old book pages. Wow! Isn’t this amazing? I will tell you more about this cafe.

The name of this cafe is derived from Swedish, which translates to “coffee break.” So, this is your perfect getaway from the routine of ordinary life to fully relax with exceptionally great coffee, homemade pastries and a great book. You must opt for the outdoor seating on the backyard patio to fully experience this magic.

All the baked goodies are made to perfection, and you must grab them quickly as they are only in limited stock. Also, if you are a student with a valid identity card, you can even avail of a discount of 15% on your orders. Isn’t that just amazing?

Location: 28 Kensington Ave

6. Neo Coffee Bar

I consider coffee very classy and when I’m having it at a wonderful cafe with lovely decor, it becomes priceless for me.

Pragya, Canada Hustle

I’ll tell you about one such cafe. It’s Neo Coffee Bar, a Japanese-inspired cafe. It is designed with spacious seating arrangements and beautiful decor. The cafe’s aesthetic and modern set-up make it a place to hang out with your squad.

The menu includes several items with Japanese ingredients, and they have neo-blend coffee beans that are carefully prepared to perfection. They also provide laptop-free and tablet-free times on holidays to free up space for coffee lovers. However, wi-fi is also available there. You must try some delicious food items offered there along with coffee.

It is quite a different experience than any other traditional cafe in Toronto City, and you must stop by to witness it.

Locations:

  1. CS12A, The Exchange Tower, 130 King St W
  2. 770 Bay St, Unit 3
  3. 161 Frederick St., Unit 100
  4. 61 Spadina Avenue

7. Strange Love Coffee

I have one more amazing cafe for you and I’m sure you will love this place. I highly recommend you visit the Strange Love Coffee. As I know it’s something different from the regular ones.

It is a mood-boosting cafe with a unique ambience filled with colours and flowers inside and out. It is entirely different from the modern minimalistic interiors, which makes it stand out from the rest. They have a mix of designs, music, plants and graphics all in one place.

The best and most unique thing I would like to tell you is it’s a mood-reflecting cafe. You will find a wide variety of natural healing tools and wellness-focused delights to enhance your mood. They offer amazing wellness delights with mushrooms like plant-based gummies for energy, immunity, and multi-daily supplements. They also have unique beverages with wellness benefits containing antioxidants and adaptogens that will keep you calm and relaxed.

Location: 101 Spadina Ave

8. I Deal Coffee and Wine Bar

The charming and homely atmosphere at I Deal Coffee and Wine Bar will steal your heart! It is a small vintage-designed cafe with high ceilings and wooden pieces of furniture offering amazing food and drinks. Their coffee is grown organically using natural farming practices to promote sustainability.

The whole cafe is decorated with empty wine bottles, and they offer a variety of specialty coffees, an amazing wine collection and baked delights. Gluten-free and vegan options are available as well. I am sure you’ll have a great time there.

Location: 162 Ossington Ave

9. Dineen Outpost

A post shared by Dineen Coffee Co. Toronto (@dineencoffeeco)

Are you looking for a cafe to take some nice pictures in a beautiful setting? I suggest you visit Dineen Outpost.

It is a pastel-themed cafe with modern interiors, making it one of the most Instagrammable spots to hang out. You can take your pictures while sipping on some flavourful coffee. They serve high-quality coffee and scrumptious delights that are soul-filling! Also, this aesthetically appealing cafe with a huge patio and magnificent chandelier is the best place to go on a date.

The overall vibe of the cafe is trendy and classy. Hence, they are a bit overpriced but worth it for the quality and ambience. Do keep in mind that it is a fairly busy cafe that can get filled fast due to its cozy and blissful ambience.

Location: 1042 Gerrard St E

10. Sam James Coffee Bar

A post shared by SJCB (@samjamescoffeebar)

My last and topmost recommendation is Sam James Coffee Bar. It is beautiful, with white-themed interiors. It offers a wide variety of coffee and baked delights made with high-quality French ingredients. The staff here is extremely friendly and caters to every need of the customers.

The coffee shop is mostly busy all the time, but the staff handles the crowd very well. If you are looking for a cool spot to hang out with your friends and eat delicious pastries and desserts, this coffee shop will be your best choice.

Location: 297 Harbord St

So, Plan Your Coffee Break

Toronto is undoubtedly one of the best places that offer a wide variety of cafes. All the cafes I mentioned above are aesthetically pleasing with their unique interiors, amazing coffee, delicious pastries and baked goods. Some of the other interesting cafes in Toronto you must visit are Milky’s Cloud Room, Cafe Pamenar, Tucana Coffee, Little Pebbles, Rustle and Still café and Boxcar Social.
