Discover Mont Tremblant: A Mountain Getaway

Located in the Laurentians, Mont Tremblant is one of Canada’s favourite all-season destinations. Just under 2 hours from Montreal, it’s the perfect escape whether you’re looking for adventure or just to relax in a mountain village.

From its cobblestone streets and colourful buildings to its world-class ski slopes and national park, Mont Tremblant has something for everyone—families, couples, solo travellers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Strolling Through the Pedestrian Village

The Mont Tremblant Pedestrian Village is the heart of the resort, and wandering its cobblestone streets feels like walking into a European mountain town. Lined with shops, cafes, bistros, and boutiques, the village is a feast for the senses, especially when the surrounding peaks are covered in snow or lit up with autumn leaves.

Visitors can use free shuttle services from places like Le Grand Lodge or park at lots like P2, P4, or P3. Staying in a village hotel means everything is just steps away: cozy restaurants, gear rentals, spas, and kid-friendly activities.

Fun for Families and Friends

Whether you’re with kids or your adventure crew, the village has plenty of family-friendly activities. One of the most popular is the Skyline Luge, a fun downhill ride for all ages.

When the snow falls, it gets even better—dog sledding, ice fishing, snow tubing, and snowshoe trails surround the village and turn it into a winter wonderland with endless activities.

Get Back to Nature in Mont Tremblant National Park

Just beyond the village, Mont Tremblant National Park invites you to connect with Quebec’s wild beauty. As the province’s first national park, it offers year-round activities in its forests, lakes, and mountains. In the summer, hike or mountain bike on scenic trails; in the winter, strap on your snowshoes or cross-country skis and glide through the snow-covered woods. During Spring and Fall, you can enjoy the vibrant colors of nature and the fresh air.

For a deeper connection with nature, the park offers camping, huts, and yurts—perfect for those who love rustic charm and starry skies. Adventurers can test their nerves on the Via Ferrata, a rock climbing route with views of the Diable River valley.

Outdoor Fun Around Every Corner

The Tremblant Activity Centre, located in the heart of the village, is where you can plan your adventure. Whether you want to rent equipment, book a guided tour, or try something new like ice climbing or mountain ziplining, the staff can help you create a memorable experience. Safety is always a priority, especially for newbies to outdoor sports.

Seasoned adventurers and casual nature lovers will find something for them, from peaceful canoeing to adrenaline-packed aerial courses.

Explore Lac Tremblant in the Summer

In the warmer months, Lac Tremblant is the summer hub. Take a lake cruise to enjoy panoramic views of the Laurentian Mountains while learning about the region’s history. Prefer to stay on land? The lakeside walking paths and viewing docks are a peaceful spot to relax, take photos, or have a picnic.

The lake is also a water sports playground. Rent a kayak, paddleboard, or pedal boat for a fun afternoon. Local outfitters provide all the gear and safety instructions you need, so it’s easy for first-timers and experienced paddlers alike.

Winter Magic on the Lake and Beyond

Even in winter, Lac Tremblant’s icy beauty attracts visitors. While walking on the lake can be tempting, it’s best done with caution near the village, where the ice may not be stable. Instead, try ice fishing, snowshoeing, or sleigh rides through the snowy trails.

The surrounding resorts, especially Tremblant Resort, are still alive in the winter. From outdoor firepits and après-ski spots to evening strolls, winter in Mont Tremblant feels like a fairytale.

Dining and Relaxation in the Village

After a day of fun, the pedestrian village has many ways to relax and recharge. Warm up with hot chocolate or mulled wine at a café, or dine on Quebecois classics like poutine, smoked meats, and tourtière at a bistro.

You’ll find no shortage of international cuisine either—Italian trattorias, sushi bars, and fondue restaurants line the streets. End your day at a spa or at a local microbrewery for a cold pint of craft beer.

Mont Tremblant Is Always a Good Idea

Whether you’re a first-timer or a fifth-timer, Mont Tremblant has something new to offer. It’s a rare destination that’s just as great in summer as it is in winter. The combination of village charm, nature, and outdoor adventure makes it a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

So lace up your hiking boots or skis, bring your appetite for fun and food, and enjoy it all.
